Reverend Daniel O. Kingsley, M.A., M.Div., S.T.B.

QUOTE FROM FR. KINGSLEY. “I like Star Trek.”

Father Daniel O. Kingsley began ordained ministry in St. Martin de Porres Parish as a transitional deacon. Upon the completion of his training for the priesthood, in 2015, the Bishop of Brooklyn appointed the newly ordained cleric as parochial vicar. Father Kingsley assists Father Cox and Deacon Balfour in the care of souls here in Bedford-Stuyvesant. He believes wholeheartedly that the Lord Jesus Christ is made known through His holy Catholic Church in the faithful proclamation of the Word and the reverent celebration of the sacraments.

Father Kingsley is a lifelong New Yorker, born to the late Idowu S. Kingsley and Daniella Pierre on May 25th, 1989, at Kings County Hospital, the eldest of their four children. He is a product of both public and parochial schools, culminating with a Bachelor of Sacred Theology and Masters of Divinity and Theology (cum laude) from St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers, New York.

Off the altar, Father Kingsley’s interests are eclectic. He reads, writes, chants, and plays the occasional video game, especially RPGs. An avid fan of Star Trek, he enjoys watching the captains and crews of the Starships Enterprise going where no man…no one…has gone before.
